How does Tourism Dirham work for holiday homes, and who pays it?

Tourism Dirham is a small tourism fee per occupied bedroom per night, charged for up to the first 30 nights of a stay.

Fee Structure

For holiday homes, current guidance typically sits around AED 10 per bedroom per night for Standard units and AED 15 per bedroom per night for Deluxe units.

Collection and Remittance

Guests pay this; we collect it and remit it to DET (usually by the 15th of the following month). You'll see it reflected somewhere in your statements, but it isn't meant to come out of your net yield.
