What does it cost to license and operate a holiday home in Dubai?
From the regulatory side, recent 2025 figures look roughly like this:
Regulatory Costs
Operator registration (company): around AED 1,500–1,600 one-time. Unit permit: roughly AED 370–1,200 per year, depending on bedrooms. Tourism Dirham: AED 10–15 per occupied bedroom per night (paid by guests).
Additional Costs
Furnishing and setup (often AED 20,000–60,000 depending on quality), Photography and small safety upgrades (extinguishers, detectors, first-aid kit), Home insurance and normal property costs.
